Squamish Water Kefir Co. was born in 2015 and continues to be brewed by a couple of nutrition-nerds, Sabrina and Kristin, who live with their wildling children surrounded and inspired by the beautiful mountains of Squamish, BC. Water kefir is a living, fermented, beverage that uses a culture to ferment sugars into a mild, light and refreshing, slightly carbonated beverage that is full of probiotics and digestive enzymes.
Mountain Born + Brewed
The company has grown from the small kitchen party operation of yesteryear, though we will never outgrow the valued opinions gained by making friends, family, and the neighbourhood children our guinea pigs. We are proud of this product and its ability to bring healthy probiotics, and digestive enzymes to kitchen tables in our community, and beyond.
Wisdom from the Past
Traditional cultures have a long history of using fermented food or drink as a staple in their diets, and these ancient crystals have passed through thousands of hands before finding their way to our kitchen – we love to take this wisdom from the past and apply it to our modern lives. We follow a traditional fermentation process and our recipe is simple. It’s light, refreshing and tastes amazing.
Our Current Flavours
Blood Orange, Lemon-Ginger, Hibiscus, Mojito Mint and The Palmer* *Inspired by the popular American drink of lemonade and iced tea and is a nod to pro golfer Arnold Palmer. Our version is a combination of lemon water kefir and black tea kombucha to make a delicious blend of the two and offers an expanded spectrum of probiotics and enzymes while still keeping a mainstream flavour that appeals to everyone in the same way our water kefir does.
